The firm was recently chosen to represent an operating company on the purchase of over 25 acres of raw land for the construction of a facility to operate its business. This transaction was complicated by the fact that the seller was under an option to purchase the land that the seller was under contract to sell to our client. In addition, the property did not have supporting infrastructure and we were required to work with the client’s development consultants to ensure the documentation was prepared to ensure that such infrastructure would be completed on a timely basis. A further complication was that the property was in the process of a preparation and recording of a parcel map post-closing. All matters were completed, the client purchased the land and the facility is up and running. The firm was retained to perform post-closing actions as well.
